Maddie looks wonderful--you did an amazing job! Ironically--the duck that Maddie had in her mouth was the closest she ever got to a "real bird"---eventhough as a Chesapeake she was bred for duck hunting. Maddie has a tendency to always bring me things when I come home from work--it just happened to be a rubber duck on that particular day. Brandis painted our old, but still active Lab, Skilak, a few years before he passed away. She captured his personality and the way he would look at us. The painting allows us to say "hi" to him everyday. Since then we have commissioned her to do other work. Brandis's art SPEAKS TO YOU and it certainly captures character! She is the BEST!

I love my cat paintings! Now my friends really have a reason to call me the "crazy cat lady"!! The paintings of Rama and Sita are the best pieces of folk art we own. I recognized my cat, Rama, right away - Brandis really captured his personality in the painting. Sita's portrait was like a mystery unfolding. At first I did not exactly see it clearly, and then one day, Sita was sitting up on top of a massage table, right under her portrait on the wall and BAM! there she was, it was picture perfect. Brandis captured an aspect of her personality I hadn't even noticed! We love our paintings almost as much as we love our cats. Mahalo Brandis!
